PRNewswire – January 21, 2016 – Rapid Radiology, Inc, one of the largest operators of teleradiology in the United States, today announced it has acquired Advanced Medical Imaging & Teleradiology (AMI) Rapid Radiology, Inc. an outsourced radiology physician services and telemedicine company with its network of more than 100 U.S.-board certified and eligible radiologists, more than half of whom are subspecialty trained.
The company provides radiology coverage to over 18,000 healthcare facilities across all 50 states . Rapid Radiology’s proprietary technology and workflow platform, extensive database, and analytic capabilities enable real-time distribution of studies to appropriately trained, licensed and credentialed physicians in order to improve clinical outcomes, increase speed of diagnosis and reduce the cost of care.
The terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
