Health:Further Unveils Agenda for March 1 Event on Telehealth

Experts and entrepreneurs will focus on telehealth innovation and implementation

PRWEB – February 01, 2016 – Health:Further today unveiled the agenda for the first of its quarterly event on telehealth series. The first HFQ event, which will be held in Nashville on March 1, will focus on telehealth and features notable experts in the field, case studies from established healthcare companies, and demonstrations of prominent telehealth technologies.

Running from 8AM to 11AM with breakfast before, Health:Further’s first quarterly event will focus on telehealth with the aim of connecting industry professionals, investors, and innovators in order to leverage the technology for improved care. Telehealth is one of the fastest emerging technologies in the healthcare space, and with increasing adoption from both providers and patients, HFQ’s spotlight on telehealth is timely.

Headlining the event is telehealth expert Dr. Pramod Gaur, who currently serves as the Chair of the mHealth SIG at the American Telemedicine Association. As one of the world’s premier experts on telehealth, he was responsible for the enterprise-level coordination of Telehealth at UnitedHealth Group from 2010 to 2014. Prior to his tenure at UnitedHealth, Dr. Gaur founded and served as the CEO for two telehealth companies: Viterion and Healthanywhere. Dr. Gaur will speak on the state of telehealth in the current healthcare industry and how the market is creating opportunities for the future.

The program also features Angela Youngberg, Partner at Waller Lansden Dorch & Davis, LLP, Dr. Kenneth J. Gaines, Professor of Clinical Neurology at Vanderbilt University, and Gary Slagle, CEO of Agile Health. Conversations will focus on current use of telehealth systems and how companies interested in implementing telehealth solutions can fit them into existing workflows.

“Telehealth carries so much potential to improve healthcare and augment the reach of providers at lower cost without sacrificing quality of care,” said Andre Blackman, Health:Further’s producer. “Our first HFQ event will give administrators, practitioners, and investors insight into the evolving technology, and we’re fortunate to be hearing about it from so many of the field’s strongest voices.”

In keeping with Health:Further’s focus on innovation, the event will also spotlight early-stage companies through an in-depth intelligence report and demonstrations from telehealth startups. Private companies account for a substantial share of the market in telehealth technologies. The intelligence report will highlight many of the companies gaining traction in telehealth, as well as how their emergence will affect the industry at large. Market-leader Doctor on Demand will demonstrate their technology, alongside another telehealth company yet to be announced.

HFQ will be held on March 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn Nashville Vanderbilt. The full agenda and tickets are available at http://ift.tt/1SUptb3. Space is limited.
