Collaboration Allows Remote Physical Exams During Telemedicine Visits, an Industry First

PRWEB – October 22, 2015 – MedWand today announced its partnership with Doctor On Demand as MedWand’s preferred telemedicine provider. The collaboration allows MedWand to add the leading, next generation video telemedicine company to its national distribution, and allows Doctor On Demand patients to receive MedWand-enabled real-time remote physical exams.

The two companies plan to market their respective telemedicine services together. In addition, MedWand plans to bundle its telemedicine technology with Doctor On Demand services for national distribution.

MedWand Founder and CEO, Dr. Samir Qamar, is excited at the opportunity that’s been formed. “We’re fans of the approach, innovation, and tech-friendliness at Doctor On Demand. Their excellent telemedicine service combined with MedWand’s examination capabilities will take the telemedicine industry to a new high. We’re thrilled.”

MedWand investor and senior advisor, Praveen Mooganur, agrees. “MedWand and Doctor On Demand are a great fit for each other. One provides enhanced telemedicine physical exams, the other physician-directed telemedicine services. It’s a great match, and both our clients will immediately see the value. I am specifically excited about MedWand Digital Onsite Clinics (DOC) that employers will be able to use to offer convenient care to employees at work.”

Doctor On Demand co-founder and CEO Adam Jackson comments, “Doctor On Demand is excited to partner with MedWand as their preferred video telemedicine provider. We built Doctor On Demand to improve patient care access to top physicians in the country, and MedWand’s remote examination device will further expand the type of care we can provide to our patients. We’re excited about our future together.”

MedWand Digital Health recently made headlines in Silicon Valley when it won the 2015 Health 2.0 coveted Launch! award after a live demonstration of its technology. MedWand allows patients to receive real-time physical exams in conjunction with telemedicine video services over the Internet.
